King Dasaratha father name is Aja and mother name is Indumati who are from Kshatriya background.The king Dasaratha lived for so many year ruling his kingdom Ayodhya.Even though he is ruling his kingdom,he is unsatisfied that he doesn't have children's.Meanwhile Parashurama,the sixth avatar of Vishnu, descendant of Brahma and pupil of Shiva is a person with argonance,travelled all around India, killing all kings of the Kshatriya caste,but left the kings for few months,who tie a knot to a girl newly at the time of his presence.Like this Dasaratha used to escape from him,by tieing a knot to a girl.In this way he had around 3000 wives,but only 3 wives are popular(Kaushalya, Sumitra and Kaikeyi in Ramayana).The women's all alone themselves came with their own interest to help the king who is ruling the kingdom with dharma and don't want him to die because of anger Parashurama.
